Trestles Elite Eco 30 Sleeping Bag: 30 Degree Synthetic

The Trestles Elite Eco 30 Sleeping Bag: 30 Degree Synthetic is a fully recycled version of one of the most popular synthetic bags on the market, which also happens to be Marmots top of the line synthetic bag, the Trestles Elite. The Eco does not skimp on warmth, comfort, or pack-ability despite the recycled products. The HL-ElixR Eco insulation traps body heat with impressive loft, retains loft when wet to keep you warm, and packs down to a compact and lightweight size. Additionally the ripstop outer can handle abrasions and normal wear and tear, while the soft taffeta lining makes sure the bag is comfortable next to skin.

Weighing in at 2lb 5oz for the regular and 2lb 3.2oz for the long, this 30 degree bag adds minimal weight to your pack. According to the European norm rating the Trestles Elite Eco 30 is the most comfortable when it is just under 40° out at night and it is not recommended that you use it below 28° which makes this a great option for a summer time bag.

7°F no problem

Camped comfortably 2 nights in 7°F wind chill (20°F low temp) on the Appalachian Trail in Georgia in February. I wore my puffer coat & thermal layers in a 4 season tent as one does in such weather. Pack weight at 2.8lb was perfect, Marmot is such solid quality, I've had a fleece for 20 years, this bag will go the distance

Great for backpacking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this for a week-long backpacking trip in 2021 and was really happy w/ the quality, how well it compacts down, and the overall comfort. Bought two more for other family members.

Definitely a warm night’s sleep

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for a fall camping trip to Acadia National park, and despite the cool nights, it kept me nice and warm. The light weight is a nice bonus to for some backpacking trips I’m planning next year.

Great 3 season sleeping bag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for Spring-Fall camping/backpacking. In the stuff sack fits well in my pack and very light-weight. Used in summer nights that got down to only 50, felt comfortable with the sack partially opened, and in autumn when it got down to mid-30s with it still keeping me warm.

Tres Elites

Very lightweight but large enough for me to fit into at 6ft and ~200lbs. I have the large and it fits well. If you have very wide shoulders or like to toss and turn, I could see it being tight.

Love it

I used this bag for the first 3 months of my Appalchain Trail thru-hike. I was only cold when the temperature went below 30, however I also used a liner. So if your not expecting freezing temps, this bag is a great ratio of warmth, weight, and price

Lightweight and packable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this bag several times now and it's pretty solid. Lightweight and packable, I like the additional zipper on the opposite side that allows the top to fold down like a blanket.
